In the Ledenjača Cave, which was declared a monument of nature in 2015, there are prehistoric drawings from the Neolithic age. In Ribovići (Čelebići) there are pictures on the rocks. On the site of the villages of Suha and Šadići there are grave piles-stone tumulus.

Old Towns and fortifications

Old Towns and fortifications-- During the time of Šćepan Kosača, there were fortifications in these areas that had multiple purposes and function. These castle fortresses were used for resting the nobles, and during wartime they had the function of fortification, observation and control of the movement of caravans and passers-by. Today, there are only ruins and bundles (Tođevac, Vratar, Kosman, Prilep, Veletin, etc.) remained of these fortifications. Crypt and Tower in Rataji-- In the village of Rataji, 3 km from the settlement of Miljevina, there is an interesting monument of medieval sacral architecture, which represents a grave chamber with a crypt. The grave chamber is carved into stone. During archaeological research it was established that there was a monastery, built before the IX century. It was destroyed by the Turks in the 16th or 17th centuries, and the famous Herzegovinian family Čengići later built a tower for housing. The tower is made of carved stone, and covered with turf.
About Stećci

Stećci

Over 650 pieces of stećаk tombstones (ridged-shaped, plate, sarcophagus) were registered in the municipality of Foča. They are located in various locations in the area of Foča (Vrbnica, Čelebići, Ninkovići, Šadići, the area between Klek and Štirinsko jezero). The necropolis with stećak tombstones Mramor (Crkvina), in Vrbica, is on the list of 28 medieval necropolises of stećak tombstones that were proclaimed World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in 2016. The necropolis is located in the hamlet of Vrbica, near the village Ćelebići, away from Foča about 20 kilometers of the airline in the direction of the southeast, at an altitude of 948 meters. The majority of stećak tombstones are oriented east-west and a smaller number deviates along the northeast - southwest direction. Of the 238 tombstones located in this place, 47 are chests, 116 plates, one plate with a stand and 74 fragments.
About Clock Tower

Clock Tower

The oldest saying about the existence of a clock in Bosnia and Herzegovina is related to Foča. It is the endowment of Mehmed-pasha Kukavica, who was born in Foča. It was built in 1758. The Dubrovnik Dutchery donated the first clock mechanism to the Foča trade center in September 1493, and this clock mechanism was kept to be built into, after the construction of the Clock Tower. The clock tower was built of stone in the form of a square prism, it is 20 meters high and covered with a tent roof. One rnters the tower through ninety centimeters high metal door, and the wooden mechanism leads to the wooden stairs. The watches are located beneath the roof of the tower and turned on four sides. Clock mechanism was restored in 2011.
About Bey's House

Bey's House

Avdagić family house, called Bey's House (Begova kuća), was built in the middle of the 18th century. It is an original building and represents a typical Foča house from the period in which it was created. It was built of stone, bricks and wood. The floor structure is wooden, and the console points on the facade are partially processed with wood. Bey's House is the seat of the Hunting Association "Bakić".

Foča house

Hadzivuković's indigenous family house, during the reign of Austro-Hungarian Empire, was one of the first and most beautiful Serbian houses in the center of Foča. This, one of the oldest and architectonic original Foča buildings adorns twenty metal doors and windows with "demirms" cast out of iron and decorations, as well as a spacious courtyard paved with stone, which with its originality brings the breath of the past. The adaptation of the building began in 2012, and was completed in 2019. After the reconstruction, this facility functioning under the name the Foča House. The new concept aims to create this cultural and historical monument for the cultural events that will be organized there. The space on the floor of the building will primarily be arranged as a gallery for exhibition of paintings, and it will be possible to organize literary evenings. In the ground floor there is another hall in which there will be a permanent exhibition of paintings by Foča artists, which will include the native collection of literary works by Foča writers.

An important part of the tourist offer of the "Sutjeska" National Park is a rich cultural and historical heritage, which includes numerous material remains, written sources and monuments of older and recent history, so that NP Sutjeska, besides the nature of exceptional values, is well known for the legendary Sutjeska Battle whose features are always the subject of visitors' interest.
