On Monday, December 21, 2020 the municipalities of Plužine (Montenegro) and Foča (BiH) organized the fourth coordination meeting for members of their rescue services (civil protection, police, health facilities, fire services and associations, protection services and rescue, GSS) within the project “Tourism, Adrenaline and Rafting Adventure (TARA)” which is supported by the European Union. The meeting discussed ways to search and rescue in the mountains, as well as ways to search and rescue in white waters (wild waters) and canyons.

In addition to presenting examples of positive and negative rescue practices in the territory of the two countries, representatives of rescue services were introduced to the philosophy of rescue, the training necessary to become a rescuer, priorities and stages of rescue and environmental assessment. The participants of the meeting were presented with the personal equipment necessary for a lifeguard on wild waters, and they had the opportunity to look at photos and videos on the procedure in case of search and rescue on fast waters.

The coordination meeting was held in the premises of the Center for Culture and Information in Foča, while the participants from Plužine followed the meeting via a video link.
