On the ninth kilometer of the old Foča-Miljevina-Sarajevo road, in the place called Pirni Do, there are Sand Pyramids, and are a real masterpiece of the nature. This unique geomorphologic phenomenon has been created for many years. By erosion of the soil and under the influence of aggressive friction of frosts, summer heat, rain and strong winds, figures of interesting shapes were created. Their shape and composition are reminiscent of the Pyramids in Colorado (USA), Dolomites (Italy), the Valcea region in Romania, or the pyramids in Devil's Town (Đavolja Varoš, Serbia).

Sand pyramids are first mentioned in the Austro-Hungarian period. The process of erosion lasts even today, so they do not disappear, but grow. They reach a height of up to 20 meters.

The exquisite sand poles rise from their broad foundations and narrow to the top, thus making an extraordinary geomorphological rarity in these areas. In the sixties of last century in this attractive location some scenes of very popular film "Kapeten Leši" were recorded.
